Usually I don’t use social media a lot because, for me, talking with people face to face is very important in a conversation.
Because of social networks, words can be misinterpreted because
there is no feeling or no emotion in a text. I use social media only to pass an important information or to schedule an appointment.
Social networks can be dangerous because of the echo chamber paradox. Algorithms are used so that users stay as long as possible in the application and for that they focus content related to what we like. The problem is that we lock ourselves in our reality without any intervention from other point of view.
These echo chambers are toxic for people who do not have a sufficiently developed critical sense because they amplify division between communities.
Social media is also a place where there are fake news and conspiracy,
so it is very important to be critical and not believe everything you see or hear on social networks.
